What a difference a year makes. This time in 2023, we were about a month into the SAG-AFTRA strike. For actresses and actors across the country, it meant no work, no promotion, no pay. Here at Awards Radar, there were no conversations about some of our favorite work of the year, no celebration of the art or the artists, at least not in the fashion our readers are used to. It all came to a halt quickly.
Thankfully, that is all long past us. Hollywood is back to work and delivering incredible television. Since the strike, a year of television has given us a little bit of everything and a heck of a lot of memorable work in front and behind the camera. With the return of the talented work comes the return of our conversations celebrating the artists across genres. The Awards Radar team has been speaking to the best in the industry, both those big names who often get the recognition and the incredible artists whose talents make it all possible.
EMMY INTERVIEWS
You can find hundreds of these insightful interviews year round in the TV section. In addition, you’ll notice the tidal wave of FYC conversations from March through August every year as the industry’s best speak to Awards Radar about their work, hopeful of landing on the awards voters’ radars. And, it seems to be working! Anna Sawai, ,Jack Lowden, Maya Erskine, Walton Goggins, Juno Temple, Andrew Scott, and Jessica Gunning are just a few of the Emmy nominees who spoke with Awards Radar about their performances.
This year, Emmy nominees across an array of categories spoke with our team, putting the stories of their work on display for fans and voters to learn more about what goes into make the television we love. If you read, watch, or listen to just one interview, you’ll realize what you see on the screen is just a small portion of the passion, talent, skill, and effort they put into their work. Be sure to check them out.
TV TOPICS PODCASTS
Also, don’t forget our TV Topics podcast where each episode features a celebrity guest who joins us to discuss not only their recent work but also their relationship with television: what they watched as a kid, which show makes them laugh the most, which TV show they would like to live in, the theme songs they cannot skip, and much more. The conversations are light, fun, and insightful, often giving a new perspective on the people you thought you knew through our shared love of television.
Fun stat: 7 of TV Topics’ last 9 guests ended up earning Emmy nominations or had their series nominated for Outstanding Series in their respective categories. Those are some impressive numbers. If you do not see your favorite actress or actor on the guest list, let us know. (Publicists, feel free to reach out—we’ll make it happen.) Have them join guests like Rhys Darby, Rose Byrne, Anna Sawai, Christina Ricci, Joe Keery, Harvey Guillén and more!

BEFORE EMMY GOLD
Also running are our annual Before Emmy Gold where we look category by category at each of the nominees’ work long before their Emmy nominated work – a glimpse at their previous nominations, performances and hidden gems you may have missed. Several are out now and many more publish over the Phase II voting.

EMMY PREDICTIONS
And of course, there is our full list of Emmy predictions across 25 categories. Updated last week, keep checking back to see if the tea leaves shift. There is a lot of spectacular competition across categories making locking them in tougher than expected, but this year I am going head over heart. We’ll see if that helps with final predictions like it did with Phase I predictions where I hit a career best.
Do you agree with my predictions? Let me know. All this and more coming to Awards Radar for our Emmys and year-round TV coverage including red carpets, podcasts (like our geek-centric The ‘Verse! podcast), reviews, press conferences, Cons and more.
