Daniel Craig and Cillian Murphy are Negotiating to Star in a Prison Drama for Damien Chazelle

It seems like some changes are afoot with Damien Chazelle. For months now, it had seemed like he was planning to make an Evel Knievel biopic as his next project, negotiating with Leonardo DiCaprio to star. Well, DiCaprio has opted to go back to work with Martin Scorsese again, so Chazelle has pivoted, now focusing on a prison drama. Showing that he’s making progress on getting this one in front of cameras, a pair of major stars are in negotiations to join him.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Craig and Cillian Murphy are working on deals to star. Apparently, DiCpario at one point was going to work with Chazelle on this one instead, but he’s fully committed to working with Scorsese on his next project. So, if these deals come together, Chazelle’s prison film will have Craig and Murphy leading it. More on the movie when we have it.
