‘X-Men’ Movie from Marvel Eyeing ‘Thunderbolts*’ Director Jake Schreier

Well, it sure seems like Marvel wants to remain in the Jake Schreier business. No sooner has Thunderbolts* opened to strong box office and the best reviews for a Marvel Cinematic Universe film in a while than they’ve landed on him for a primo gig. If it comes together, Schreirer is their choice to help bring the X-Men fully to the MCU.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is looking at Schreier to direct their in development X-Men movie. Michael Lesslie, who last wrote Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, is working on the screenplay. If a deal comes together, the MCU will have Schreier shepherding the X-Men to the big screens. Stay tuned.
